We were so excited to be able to download the story while we wait to get our hands on our physical book. This is another fun Sammy story with adorable illustrations and we get to meet some new friends (Duke and Poppy) too! It’s a wonderful story to read and then discuss fairness and sharing with your little one(s), and even has extra ideas and activities at the end of the story to extend and practice those concepts! The whole Sammy collection is wonderful and I highly recommend getting them. The stories are so charming and Sammy being a cute yellow lab easily captures the attention of young children and is so relatable. Jeana Kinne is extremely knowledgeable in childhood development and you can really tell with how engaging the plots in each story and activities at the end of the books are laid out. I have been work with toddlers for about 20 years as a speech therapist and I take Sammy books to my speech sessions and they love these books (though these books will enthrall even older kids too). The parents and grandparents love the lessons gained. I highly recommend these books for your family and to purchase as gifts for other families with young children. You know you are doing something good for them because there is good education to be gained from these literary gems.
